So far I am very happy with this purchase. The hose holder is attractive and not too large. So far we have not had any leaks. I used Teflon tape before attaching the hoses and I think that has been helpful. Unit functions correctly and seems sturdy. Pricing was on the high side but I think it was reasonable for the quality. Unit rolls well.
Had an older hose reel that was more problem than function. I bought this one to replace it. I notice it has a good weight and the hose winds well. Appears to be made very well. No problems with leaking that I have seen. So far it has been a change for the better.
This is a quality all-metal hose reel that looks great in the backyard. It can be mounted on a wall or to the ground. I did not mount it in my case and just let it rest on the cement on its 4 quite-small rubber pads. It works fine because I’ve attached one of those lightweight expandable/retractable garden hoses; with a regular, heavy-weight rubber hose I think the hose reel is light enough that it would easily tip over unless you fasten/mount it. Absolutely no leaks, and I’m quite happy with the purchase.
